Choosing a White Label Peptide Supplier: A Buyer's Checklist
A buyer's checklist for vetting a white-label peptide supplier: manufacturing, testing, minimums, lead times, and the questions that separate real manufacturers from relabelers.
The checklist
- Do they manufacture, or relabel? Ask where fill and lyophilization happen and who certified the cleanroom. Star Distribution fills in certified ISO-5/7 US cleanrooms under cGMP; certification details are available for your file.
- Where does the API come from? Green-list registered manufacturers, tested per shipment, with a documented chain of custody from raw material to vial.
- What is the release specification? Ours is 99% or higher by HPLC; a lot that tests below is rejected, never inventoried.
- Will they ship samples first? We send pre-order samples of any SKU, invoiced at cost, from the same lot that would fill your PO.
- What are the real minimums and lead times? 3,000 vials per SKU (flexible on a first order) and one to two weeks from confirmed PO.
- What happens when you scale? Thousands of vials leave our facilities every month, with capacity kept ahead of client growth.
- Who answers the phone? A team that replies within a business day, not a ticket queue.
White label vs. private label
The terms are used interchangeably in this industry. In practice both mean the same thing at Star Distribution: we make it, you brand it. Whether you call it white label or private label, the product, testing, and documentation are identical to what ships under our own name.
Red flags
- Published pricing with no account verification — usually a reseller, not a manufacturer.
- No lot numbers on vials.
- Refusal to ship samples for independent testing.
Next step: launching a private-label line, or create a Partner Portal account to see wholesale pricing.
